The University has many Greek Life organizations, while University students can join any of these organizations, engineering is represented by two groups. These two groups actively participate in bettering the Engineering Student Body and routinely partner with the Speed School Student Council.
Phi Sigma Rho Sorority.
Phi Sigma Rho is a sorority for women in engineering and engineering technologies. The goal of Phi Sigma Rho is to serve our sisters and the community by promoting high standard of person integrity, respect, and character, life long bonds of sisterhood, and academic and professional excellence with a social balance through shared experiences, common bonds, and recognition of service and achievement. Phi Rho provides an amazing support system to help sisters balance the scholarship, social, service, and sisterhood aspects of greek and campus life. Some resources include a network of academic support from sisters in similar majors, mentoring from older sisters and advisers, and leadership experience through officer and committee positions within the chapter. At the University of Louisville, Phi Sigma Rho participates in Greek Life socials, community service, and our annual philanthropy event. There are multiple service opportunities throughout each semester, including the Relay for Life, and our philanthropy, Cupcake Wars, benefits the American Cancer Society. With their involvement in Phi Sigma Rho, sisters can form strong bonds not only within their own chapter, but with sisters all over the nation. These strong bonds between sisters that develop throughout undergraduate years eventually become lifelong friendships.

Triangle Fraternity is the only national, social fraternity exclusive to engineers, architects, and scientists. Since 1941, Triangle has been creating a better world by refining better men at the UofL Campus. Triangle Fraternity is exclusive to men working toward degrees with heavy focus on math and science. Despite the rigorous coursework that all Triangles must endure, we strive to promote a brotherhood that creates better men. We strive to for better academics, athletics, social interaction, and much more.
University of Louisville Triangle strives annually to raise funds for Kosair Charities through our event Gravity Car Chase for Children. Triangle has many members involved in the Speed School Student Council and works closely with SSSC. Every year before Fall Classes begin, SSSC and Triangle host Leadership Advantage (LA). LA is a 3 day leadership for freshman entering the world of engineering.
Triangle Fraternity promotes growth over endurance. We offer opportunities which give members fun, experience, and a sense of belonging. Leadership positions exist at every corner and help members expand upon their resumes past their GPA.
If you are interested in becoming a Triangle Man, our contact information is provided on the website above. If you are looking for more than a degree, look toward Triangle Fraternity.
